Where the name comes from
The Chola dynasty of South India lasted more than a thousand years. At its height, in the 10th and 11th centuries, Chola fleets crossed the Bay of Bengal and reached as far as Southeast Asia, protecting the trade routes that kept a whole region running. They also built things meant to outlast them: the Kallanai on the Kaveri still manages water today, and the Brihadeeswarar Temple at Thanjavur has stood for over a thousand years. Their villages even ran on written rules for how local assemblies chose people and did their work.
That’s the kind of company we want to be. Not the biggest. The one that keeps watch, keeps things running and writes down how it’s done.
